Samantha’s Shaakuntalam is one of the most anticipated films of 2023. The film is slated for a grand release on February 17 in multiple languages. However, there is little change in the release plan. Now, Shaakuntalam will not see the light of day on the scheduled date. The period drama is slated to release in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. However, there seem to be some last-minute hiccups in the Hindi release due to Pathan’s record-breaking success. Sagunthalam directed by Gunasekar is a romantic fantasy entertainer. The film stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Dev Mohan in lead roles. Also starring Allu Arha, Sachin Khedekar, Kabir Bedi, Dr. M Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gauthami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Jishu Sengupta, and others.

The trailer of Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming Telugu mythological drama Shaakuntalam was released at a grand event in Hyderabad on Monday. From the looks of the trailer, Samantha is seen in her most relaxed self, reciting an epic episode from the Mahabharata.
The trailer opens with a scene of a huge empire and the voiceover introduces us to an abandoned child born to Maneka and Vishwamitra. The trailer introduces the child as Shakuntala born with a purpose. In the next shot, we are introduced to King Dushyant, who meets Sakundala for the first time in a forest. It’s love at first sight and when the camera pans to Samantha, she looks completely relaxed. When Dushyant sees her for the first time she is covered in butterflies.
