Kaali (Rajnikanth), warden of boys hostel, notices that final-year students led by Michael dominate the hostel and put a stop to all his antics. Kaali befriends with Anwar, an NRI Hostelite, who falls in love with Anu daughter of Mangalam. But Michael with lust on Anu tries to kill Michael with the help of Jithu. During the fight between Michael’s gang, Kaali and Jithu’s gang, Anwar comes to know about his past that he was the son of Rajnikanth’s best friend. Anwar’s father was killed by Singaar, so in rivalry with Singaar Petta, Anwar and Michael go to Uttar Pradesh to finish off Singaar. In the End, Petta gives the option to Jithu either to kill him or leave him alive. Jithu kills himself by his pistol and the movie comes to an end.
